BENETTEAU CYCLADES 50 Yacht Specification
NOUVEAU: AMIRANTE est désormais équipé d’un propulseur d’étrave, bien pratique pour effectuer les manoeuvres de port!
- Designed by Berret-Racoupeau and built by BENETTEAU, the CYCLADES 50, Yacht AMIRANTE focuses on combining functionality with spacious living. On deck, the large cockpit features twin helm positions and an innovative bimini with an open structure. All the control lines are led aft for ease of handling and make all manoeuvres under sail on this large blue water cruiser very simple.
Down below, the BENETTEAU 50 , Yacht AMIRANTE features 4
double cabins, a port aft cabin with twin bunk berths and 3 heads compartments. There is also a crew cabin with a head and sink in the forepeak. The galley to port incorporates a large volume of ‘cold storage’ as well as ample work surfaces and general stowage.
Opposite the galley is a large U shaped saloon, which not only offers generous living space but can be converted into another double berth if needed. These features coupled with generous water and fuel capacities make the Benetteau Yacht 50 feet both luxurious and functional.

The hull is single-skinned balsa
sandwich construction with
reinforcement points.
A built-in structural inner moulding
is bonded and laminated to the
hull at intervals. Its structural role is
important as it takes and absorbs
the stresses at pressure points (keel,
rudder, etc.) and spreads any loads
guaranteeing reduced strain on
the hull.
The inner moulding with its
perfect surface gives extra
stowage space under the sole and
makes cleaning easier.
A skeg is moulded into the hull to
protect the propeller shaft.
Prevention against osmosis by use
of vinylester resin.
The gel coat is white.
The deck is sandwich construction
(glass fibre and balsa) for an
optimal strength/weight ratio
as well as excellent sound and
thermal insulation.
A ‘diamond point’ non-slip surface
increases safety over all areas of
movement on deck.
There are solid reinforcement
points under the deck fittings
(winches, tracks, chain plates, cleats).
A built-in inner deck moulding
completes the deck structure and
helps to perfect its finish.
A straight deck line with an alloy
toerail forms the hull/deck joint.
This join ensures a watertight
assembly and improves safety
when moving around on deck.
The transom/ hull joint is secured
with a rubber rubbing strake.
To improve durability the keel is
given an anticorrosion treatment
using epoxy based coatings and
paint. - STEERING SYSTEM
